Training

We offer a range of short courses at Triangle and across the UK. We have a lively and engaging teaching style, combining a strong value base with a practical focus on skills. We train on communication, consultation, safeguarding, disability equality, advocacy, therapy, meeting children’s health needs, working positively with challenging behaviour and sexuality.

All our trainers are in direct practice with children and young people. Many are recognised as experts in their fields and have taught and published extensively.

Children and young people contribute to the development of our training, produce training resources and deliver some training directly. Triangle has a group of young trainers who teach about rights, advocacy, communication and consultation. They teach from experience which makes for powerful, memorable sessions.

Our training can be provided anywhere: we have trained throughout the UK, and in Scandinavia, Europe, Canada and Australia.

How it works

We have a rolling programme of open access training at Triangle and we provide around 150 commissioned training events a year, from brief conference presentations through to eight day courses.

You can book onto open access sessions below, or to enquire about commissioned training you can complete online enquiry form or call 01273 305888 or email us.

Open Access Courses

Triangle's open access courses are led by experienced trainers, who are also in direct practice with children. The courses are practically orientated, participative and enjoyable. All courses are held 9.30am - 3.30pm in Triangle's own accessible training venue with lunch and refreshments provided. We can advise on local accommodation.

All one-day courses cost £95 plus vat and two-day courses cost £160 plus vat, inclusive of lunch and refreshments. Courses must be paid for in advance and invoices can be supplied if required. We carry out open access training in the following areas:
