Autism and Communication
Aims:
- To give insight into autism from a unique insider perspective
- To consider the creation of ‘communication enabling environments’ for children with autism who use little or no speech
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Think about autism and its impact through into adulthood
- Make sense of some of the apparent ‘puzzles’ of autism
- Describe some of the barriers facing individuals with autism
- Describe the shared features of three different approaches to communication
Price
One-day course cost £95 plus VAT, inclusive of lunch and refreshments. Courses must be paid for in advance and invoices can be supplied if required.
