Interviewing Young Children and Children with Communication Impairments

This two day course has been developed to enable experienced interviewers to extend their skills to work with young children and children with communication impairments. Suitable for police officers, social workers, intermediaries and advocates who have a working knowledge of Achieving Best Evidence guidance.

Trainers

Ruth co-directs Triangle and works directly with children and young people in Triangle's Consultative Groups and on a range of other projects, particularly where there are concerns about a child. A lot of Ruth's work is with children who do not use speech or have very limited language, and she has taught and published widely on these issues. Ruth is also a Registered Intermediary with the Ministry of Justice, providing communication support to children in their communication with the police and the courts.
