Communication Assistance
Triangle can provide skilled support to enable communication. We can communicate directly with children, or work alongside you and the child to enable communication.
We can provide communication assessments, communication resources and communication support. Our team includes intermediaries working in both the family and criminal court settings, BSL interpreters, speech and language therapists and communication support workers.
We also have spoken language interpreters who work closely with us and are provided with additional training, guidance and supervision to enable them to use their skills in very challenging situations.
We are familiar with the rules of evidence for the courts, and confident to work alongside local investigative teams to plan and support interviews conducted within Achieving Best Evidence guidance.
We will also conduct interviews directly with very young children (aged two, three and four) and with children who have more complex communication impairments.
We teach on a number of Achieving Best Evidence and advanced interviewing courses across the UK. We have a three camera interview suite that meets criminal court requirements.
How it works
We can provide advice, guidance and resources at a distance. We can provide facilitators, interpreters, intermediaries and interviewers to establish and enable communication. We are used to working very quickly, often within 24 hours, but the more notice you can give us the better.
