Consultation with children

Triangle consults directly with children and young people on a wide range of issues, for example ascertaining their wishes and feelings to inform decisions about their lives, exploring their experiences and finding out their views about the services they use.

We are in the privileged position of having consulted with almost 3000 children and young people over the last ten years, many using alternative or augmentative communication methods. We have been commissioned by many local authorities and by the NSPCC, NFER, the Audit Commission, the DCSF and Action for Children.

How it works

We can consult directly with children individually or in groups and report on their views, guaranteeing anonymity where appropriate. Alternatively we can work alongside a team already around a child, or alongside a research team to ensure all children are included in a wider piece of research.

We can respond quickly where needed, usually within 48 hours. Our usual timescale for a block consultation (10-300 children) is 8 weeks (3 weeks preparation, 3 weeks consultation, 2 weeks write up).
