Expert Opinion
Triangle provides independent expert opinion to the courts, local authorities and other agencies on a range of issues, including the assessment of children’s needs and of parenting capacity; the assessment of risk and analysis of communication quality within ABE interviews.
We provide these services across the UK. We run our own expert witness development programme for senior members of the team, delivered by Penny Cooper of the Inns Court School of Law.
How it works
We have particular expertise with very young children and children and young people with a wide range of needs and different impairments. This includes children who communicate without speech; children with sensory impairment; children presenting severely challenging and/or sexualised behaviour; children with complex medical needs, children with learning disability, autism, asperger’s syndrome, brain injury, epilepsy, ADHD, developmental delay.
We often work with children who have no clear diagnosis but are causing high levels of concern and with children where there are concerns about their welfare or safety.
Most of our expert opinion work is undertaken by small multidisciplinary teams, with an identified lead person, producing a single report with shared conclusions.
We can also provide single experts acting alone.
